Player Profiles

Jon Chieppor # 10

Jon is a 6’ 1”, 160-pound senior guard/forward with great athletic ability. A good shooter, Jon can also go to the basket and he will play tough defense. He is an excellent player in the open floor as well as a good passer. Jon is the son of Patrick and Denise Chieppor.

Jon was the goalie on the Township soccer team and one of his most memorable moments was the save he had against Hempfield this year that secured another victory for the powerful streak soccer squad . He is a good student and plans to go on to college to study Anthropology.Jon’s favorite team is the Black Hawks and he listens to State Radio.

Elijah Hobbs #35
Eli is a 6’ 3” 200 pound senior who plays the power forward position. He is a ferocious rebounder who has worked on his post game all summer. He can be an force inside on both ends of the floor and will be a difficult match-up for any opposing players. He is a returning letterman who averaged 6 points and 5 rebounds per game in his junior year. He is the son of Ms Devon Clark.

Mark Stratton #4
Mark is the son of Pat and Dennis Stratton. A junior at 5’ 11” and 155 pounds, Mark plays the point guard position. He is like a coach on the floor directing his teammates to where they are to go. He returns after producing 44 points and 44 assists in his sophomore year on the varsity. He is an excellent defender and passer who sees the floor well.

Mark was a big part of the successful MT Lacrosse team. He is a good student and plans to go to college to become a teacher and a coach. He roots for New York Giants and Knicks and likes to listen to Lupe Fiasco.

Alex Palmer #22
Alex is the son of Bill and Diane Palmer and will get a lot of minutes at the guard and forward positions. At 5’11”, 165 pounds, Alex is a good shooter, is always hustling, and plays hard-nosed defense.

An excellent student, Alex plans to go on to college He is a member of the successful MT golf team where he qualified for the District and Regional tournament this past fall. His favorite subject is history and he listens to a variety of music. He is a Los Angeles Dodgers and Lakers fan and enjoyed watching the Lakers win the NBA championship last season.

Tyler Mitchell #5
Tyler Mitchell is the son of Bill and Donna Mitchell. He is a good all around basketball player with varied skills They include hounding the other teams guards, getting to the basket with dribble penetration and hitting the open jump shot . He is a returning letterman who averaged 5 points and almost 3 assissts per game last season. Currently a junior at 5’10” and 160 pounds, he can play both the shooting and point guard positions.

Tyler is a good student and after college, he would like to travel to Australia. Aside from basketball, he enjoys video games, listening to Kid Ludi and rooting for NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon.

Hogan Ross # 55
At 6’5” and 190 pounds, Hogan plays a big role on the inside this year for the streaks. He defends well and is a good shot blocker who can shoot the ball and score on the inside. Hogan is the son of Kris and Pat Ross.
Hogan is also a member of the Manheim Township LaCrosse team and he likes to root for the University of North Carolina and listens to any kind of music. He is a good student who enjoys science and has an interest in the weather and plans on going on to college.

Brady Souders #15
Brady is the son of Ron and Vicki Souders. This 5’11”, 175-pound junior guard plays a key role as a defensive stopper and is called on to be a spark for the varsity this season. He is quick and athletic, has a good shot and can handle the ball.

Brady is a good student and his favorite subject is Chemistry. He roots for all the Philadelphia sports teams, listens to Rap music and like to play video games. Brady also plays football at Manheim Township and hope to play football at the college level.

Darren Chillot #40
Darren is solid player who can do a variety of things on the floor. He is a junior forward the stands at 6’ and 200 pounds. Darren suffered a preseason football injury which will keep him off the playing squad until at least January. Darren is the son of Lew and Deb Chillot.

A good student, Darren like history and plans to go on to college and get a successful job. He is a Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan and listens to Blink – 182. As a member of the Blue Streaks football team, one of his favorite things is Friday night football games. Some day he would like to travel around the world.

Alex Hinnenkamp # 13
The son of Joe and Beth Ann Hinnenkamp, Alex is a 5’ 10” 135-pound junior guard. He is good outside shooter and passer who sees the floor well and runs the point position.

An excellent student who enjoys math and science, Alex hopes to become a doctor. He also likes to run and is a good distance runner on the track and cross country teams. His most memorable sports moment came when he helped Manheim Township win the league cross country title. Alex listens to all kinds of music, roots for the Miami Dolphins and Villanova Wildcats, and someday wants to travel the world.

Josh Trach #21
Josh is a 5’11” 153 pound Sophomore guard. He is a good shooter and excellent defender with good athleticism. With his speed and quickness he can help at both ends of the court. Josh is the son of Mark and Donna Trach.
A good student whose favorite subject is history, Josh plans on going onto college. He roots for the Eagles, Phillies and Sixers and listens to Nas. Aside from basketball, Josh enjoys golf, tennis and food. Someday he hopes to have the chance to visit every continent in the world.

Jomar Guerrero #30
Jomar is a 6’2”, 168 pound sophomore forward. He is a talented player who can shoot, score off the dribble, and rebound. His parents are Iris Batiz and John Guerrero.

His favorite things about Manheim Township high school are his friends, the sports and the girls. He likes history and plans to go to college. Jomar‘s favorite sports teams are the Miami Heat and New York Giants. His most memorable sports moment came last year when he hit a game winning shot with 1 second left. He’d like someday to meet Dwyane Wade and Lebron James.

Cory Stoltz #2
This 6’2” sophomore guard who weighs 160 pounds, is seeing his first varsity action this year. A good shooting guard, Cory can also run the point position. He is the son of Dave and Kathy Stoltz.

Cory is a good student who likes history and plans on attending college. Aside from basketball, his other favorite thing at Manheim Township is the girls. His favorite music is by Wale and his favorite sports teams are the Eagles and Sixers.

Billy Vaughan-Geib #54
The son of Jeff Geib and Dana Vaughan, Billy is a sophomore lefthander who has some excellent post moves. At 6’ 5” and 205 pounds, Billy can rebound and defend and is a good shot blocker.

A good student, Billy likes Accounting and plans to go to college. His favorite sports team is the San Diego Chargers. Aside from basketball, Billy likes to listen to Tech Nane and hope to make lots of money someday.

Jordan Ness #33

Jordan is a sophomore guard with good outside shooting abilities and can handle the ball well. He is a good defender and plays mostly at the shooting guard position. At 6’ 1” and 152 pounds, he is the son of Margaret and Kevin Ness.

Jordan is an excellent student who likes math and plans to go on to college. His favorite music is by Biggie Smalls and he likes the Washington Wizards and Green Bay Packers. His most memorable sports moment came when he got to see Michael Jordan play.

John Shaffer #11
John is the son of Maureen Baer and Scott Shaffer. At 5’ 11” and 155 pounds, he is a sophomore guard with good athletic abilities, who always hustles and defends well.

John has six brothers and sisters and is a member of the Manheim Township football team. A good student who likes math, John would like to go on to college. John also likes baseball, roots for the Phillies and Eagles, and listens to Rap music.

Nate Thompson #12
A 5’ 11, 160 pound sophomore guard, Nate is fast, a good defender and always hustles. His parents are Michael and Kathy Thompson.

Nate is an excellent student who likes math and plans to attend college. He enjoys all the Township sport and the girls and is a member of the Blue Streaks soccer team. His most memorable moment in sports came when he scored a goal in the LL soccer playoffs. Nate roots for the Sixers, Eagles and Phillies and listens to NAS.

Shawn Hines #25
Shawn is the son of Deb and Ed Hines. This 6’3”, 160 pound sophomore plays the forward position. A smart player, Shawn works hard and has a real nice touch on his jump shot.

He is an excellent student who likes math and his plans include getting a college education. Shawn also plays volleyball for the Streaks, the piano and saxophone and likes to listen to The Killers and Coldplay. Shawn is a fan of the Phillies, Eagles and Miami Heat.

Niki Veronis #3
The son of Nicholas and Susan Veronis, Niki is a sophomore point guard. He is 6’ and weighs 170 pounds. He always hustles and plays good defense. Niki is a good passer and ball handler who helps to create opportunities for his teammates.
Niki likes Marketing and is a good student who plans on going to college. He roots for the Sixers, Eagles, Phillies and Barcelona and listens to Eminem. His most memorable sports moment came in the 7th grade when he hit a shot to send a game into overtime. He is also a varsity tennis player.

Brennan Scott #32
Only a freshman, this 6’ 1”, 180 pounder plays both the forward and guard positions this year. Brennan is a good shooter and defender and is strong enough to get rebounds and score inside. His parents are Jason and Ingrid Scott.
Aside from Basketball, Brennan also plays football for the Blue Streaks and his most memorable sports moment came this year when he threw for his first varsity touchdown. He hopes to go on to play college football for the Florida Gators and eventually in the NFL.

Dallas Hasson #24
Dallas is a 6’ 1” 181 pound sophomore forward. Dallas has a very good mid-range jumpshot and get mix it up inside as well. He runs the floor very well and likes to play in the open floor. He is the son of Mark and Melissa Hasson and his younger brother Christian is on the 7th grade team.
A good student, Dallas takes advanced classes and would like to go to law school. He also plays on the football team here at Manheim Township. Other interests include riding a 4 wheeler and rooting for the Lakers or the Cowboys. He likes the sports and the girls at township and listens to Kid Codi on his Ipod.
